Domestic Internships and Volunteering
Curamericas Global seeks talented and motivated candidates to work in challenging internship positions throughout our organization. Our internships offer hands-on opportunities to impact Curamericas Global and mothers and children around the world. Curamericas staff work with interns to develop skills in their chosen areas of study and help them network with professionals in their career path. Volunteers have less requirements than interns, but receive many of the same benefits!
Internships with Curamericas Global are volunteer internships because they are unpaid but opportunities for credit toward a degree are available. Read about our some of our past interns on our blog. Please submit applications or any questions to [email protected].
Things to keep in mind as you apply:
- All application deadlines are rolling. We continue to accept applications until positions are filled.
- All applicants should prepare to commit to volunteering a minimum of 15 hours/week.
- Preference is given to interns who can commit to internships longer than 3 months.
- Internships can count towards school credit through independent studies or practicums.
- Preference is given to graduate students.
Fall, Spring and Summer Semester internships (applications currently being accepted)

We are no longer updating our internship site and instead ask you to consider what position makes the most sense for you with the Job Descriptions below being examples. International Internships and Practicum Opportunities
Curamericas Global offers master’s students and graduates the chance to gain professional and academic experience working with community-based global health projects in Guatemala and Kenya. Students have the opportunity to conduct field research, work with capacity-building projects, and assist with project implementation. All practicum positions are unpaid and students must be able to cover their own travel and lodging expenses.
Students who have a particular project or subject area in mind are encouraged to contact us. Please direct any practicum inquiries to Barbara Muffoletto at [email protected].
Practicum opportunities are posted as they are finalized. We anticipate having positions in both Guatemala and Kenya.
