Liana is a recent graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Medical Anthropology. She is interested in public health and serving others, and has demonstrated this interest by working with a housing non-profit, volunteering with refugees, and tutoring underserved students. She currently works for the CDC at the Baltimore City Health Department in Outbreak Investigation. Liana was drawn to the work of Curamericas and the Young Professionals Board because of the hands-on experience it allows her to have. Working alongside other like-minded young professionals to help serve out the critically important and admirable mission and vision of Curamericas is an honor she is grateful for. In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing with her two cats, spending time with her friends and family, and attempting to bake (hopefully?) delicious desserts!
