Jane Thibodeau, MA
Jane began working with Curamericas in June, 2014. After receiving her undergraduate degree in Anthropology with a minor in Spanish, Jane worked as Outreach Worker for the North Carolina Farmworker Health Program to increase farmworker access to healthcare services. After working and traveling for a few years, Jane decided to pursue a Master’s degree in International Relations from the Universidad del Salvador in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where her studies focused on international economy, cooperation and development. Upon returning from Argentina, Jane started a successful community garden in upstate New York and ran a children’s gardening program. Having recently returned to the Triangle after several years away, Jane is excited to be joining the Curamericas team! View Jane’s résumé.
I’m so happy to be working with Curamericas! I’m looking forward to contributing to our fundraising and development, and am especially excited about recruiting volunteers and taking them to site countries! Traveling is one of the best ways to learn not only about other countries and cultures, but also about where you come from, and I’m excited to share that with our young volunteers! When I’m not working, I love cooking, practicing yoga, and being outside.
