Curamericas Welcomes Catrina Lloyd as Chief of Staff
Posted: March 15, 2021
Curamericas Global recently announced Catrina Lloyd as Chief of Staff of the global health nonprofit, which is devoted to making measurable and sustainable improvements to healthcare systems around the globe.
Driven by an early exposure to volunteerism and culturally-diverse communities to study language and communications in North Carolina and abroad, Lloyd has proudly served Raleigh/Durham-area non-profit organizations as a manager of finance, operations, human resources and partnerships since 2014.
“We are thrilled to have Catrina join our team,” said Andrew Herrera, Executive Director of Curamericas. “Catrina brings to the job a combination of experience, sensitivity and expertise in working with partners and communities. Both the Board and staff are impressed with her extensive knowledge of business operations and know that she will be an asset to our mission of providing hope through health here in North Carolina and around the world.”
Lloyd’s hiring comes as the organization recently extended its partnership with The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) to continue life-saving work through the state’s Community Health Worker Program, created to reach North Carolina’s most vulnerable and historically-marginalized communities amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
“There is so much work to be done for our vulnerable communities and their health systems,” said Lloyd. “Curamericas is poised to make a positive difference for forgotten families and communities and I look forward to supporting the fiscal health, personal relations, programming and operations of the organization.”
Lloyd joins the organization with a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in non-profit management and a passion for community and economic health and education.
