Sierra Leone has the second highest child mortality rate in the world. However, a donation to the Kuimei Project today makes it possible for more than 1,000 moms to rejoice with the fifth birthday of their children in the future.

$15 to the Kuimei project provides 5 children with life-saving treatments for acute diarrhea.

$50 provides 2 Trained Traditional Midwives with Safe Delivery Kits.

And $100 provides 10 solar chargers for Community Health Volunteers. Solar chargers allow for community health volunteers to call for help during a medical emergency. With communities often having limited transportation, a charged cell phone could make the difference between life and death for a mother or child. 

$1,500 for the Kuimei project means 150 solar chargers, 500 treatments for children threatened with acute diarrhea, or 60 midwives equipped with Safe Delivery Kits.

With the support of generous donors like you, Curamericas Global has been making positive and sustainable changes in Bo District, Sierra Leone. Curamericas’ project is partnering with eight communities and reaching over 4,000 people with lifesaving treatment services and education. Through its unique Community-Based, Impact-Oriented methodology and your investment, Curamericas Global will continue working to:

• Increase women delivering in a health facility to 75%
• Increase use of HIV/STI prevention practices and treatment services, and
• Increase the amount of skilled birth attendants who practice clean, safe birthing practices and proper newborn care to 85%
