One of the hallmarks of Curamericas’ work is our ability to help combine specialized expertise and programming with a more person- and community- centered approach.  Working hand-in-hand with local partners, Curamericas has helped over 350,000 people in countries across the globe since 1983.  Our nearly 30 years of service is testimony to the great work we are accomplishing.

Upcoming Projects

Water and Sanitation in Guatemala - Guatemala’s health statistics register among the worst in Latin America. Particularly hard-hit is the indigenous Mayan population in the northwestern highlands.  Poor water, sanitation, and hygiene are leading underlying factors of the high child mortality and malnutrition rates.  We hope to reverse staggering water- and sanitation- related mortality trends by improving hygienic behaviors and expanding access to clean water and sanitary latrines in the Department of Huehuetenango of the isolated remote northwestern Cuchumatanes mountains, where over 90% of the population is indigenous and live in poverty.
