One of the hallmarks of Curamericas’ work is our ability to help combine specialized expertise and programming with a more person- and community- centered approach. Working hand-in-hand with local partners, Curamericas has helped over 350,000 people in countries across the globe since 1983. Our nearly 30 years of service is testimony to the great work we are accomplishing. |
CBIOWhat is the Community-Based, Impact-Oriented (CBIO) Methodology? The Community-Based, Impact-Oriented (CBIO) methodology is an approach to health care service provision that allows local health care providers to better understand, more effectively treat, and accurately measure outcomes and impacts for the most commonly found causes of unnecessary suffering, sickness and death within their communities. Advantages of the CBIO Approach
The CBIO methodology has been repeatedly evaluated and its results reported in peer review journal articles, through professional presentations, and in many donor project reports. Organizations that have used the CBIO approach praise the method and report that it allows them to measure decreasing childhood mortality, provides pathways to community input and ownership, and ensures equity of health service delivery through pro-active contacts with hard-to-reach, high risk families. For more information in utilizing the CBIO methodology in your programs, please contact Roger Follas, Interim Executive Director, toll-free at (877) 510-4787 or via email at roger@curamericas.org. |
