The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is an independent Federal government agency that supports long-term equitable economic growth in advancement of US foreign policy objectives around the world. USAID works with CARE in five major regions including Asia, Europe, Latin America, Sub-Saharan Africa, and the Middle East to implement programs in critical sectors such as agriculture economic growth, food security, health, global health, democracy, conflict prevention, humanitarian assistance and other critical sectors.
The Department of Health and Human Services Center for Disease Control is dedicated to protecting health and promoting quality of life through prevention and control of infections disease, injury, and disability. CDC places humanity at the forefront of its mission to ensure health protection through promotion, prevention, and preparedness.
The U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) is the U.S. Government initiative to help save the lives of those suffering from HIV/AIDS around the world. This historic commitment is the largest by any nation to combat a single disease internationally, and PEPFAR investments also help alleviate suffering from other diseases across the global health spectrum. PEPFAR is driven by a shared responsibility among donor and partner nations and others to make smart investments to save lives.
